The Stanley 66 Scraper/Beader plane is ideal for a quick tool that is safe to use and is effective. Don't overthink using this tool. Just set it up and adjust it. Try it on a scrap of wood. Never learn a new tool on production pieces. Let me show you how easy it is to setup. 1. Loosen the screw on the top of the scraper by turning it counterclockwise. 2. Slide the straight guide onto the body of the scraper, positioning it where you want to guide the blade for a straight cut. Check alignment and distance from the edge to where the bead starts 3. Tighten the screws back into place by turning them clockwise with the screwdriver or Allen wrench. Make sure the straight guide is secure and straight. I recommend getting a lock washer. 4.
